VideUM is Maastricht University video portal, supported by the UM library. It provides general information but also FHML specific information.
Mediasite is the central UM platform for video storage and dissemination, hosted by the UM library. Through the video upload section you can access Mymediasite and download Mymediaste desktoprecorder to record your own videos with a webcam or screencast functionality, upload videos to Mediasite and share them with your students through Canvas. I want to lecture online
This section provides information about lecturing online. It explains how to plan on online recording in a lecture hall and provides a list of lecture halls with recording equipment in each faculty; manuals for Mediasite desktop recorder to make a recording behind your own desk; manuals for Zoom and Collaborate Ultra; tips and tricks online lecturing for students and teaching staff; and consent forms for guest speakers that you can download and use.
Find your faculty video support staff
Each faculty has one or more staff members who provide support on the use of Mediasite. You can contact them with questions about your own Mediasite account, help with registering a lecture, uploading and sharing your own videos, or providing your students a folder within Mediasite to which they can upload their video assignments.
Create your own video
On VideUM, you can follow a step-by-step instruction or making a knowledge clip information on video design and didactics, video formats, recording tools, editing tools and video conferencing tools and about video and copyright. You can also find where to book a studio or find a cameraman or editor to help you create a video.
Learn about good practices
In our good practices section, you find good practice information on video design and the use of video in education. You can watch short recorded interviews with members of our teaching staff, in which the explain how they use video in their education.
